This course is best suited to those who are established Supervisors or Managers or for those who are returning to Managerial or Supervisory roles following a term of absence.
Sound and effective Management is essential in today’s business environment. It is the ongoing motivation, commitment and overall effort of your team that is the secret of success.
This course is more demanding and complex than the level one course, allowing an individual to identify and further develop a professional style that will best suit them and the needs of the organisation.
A series of fully, and expertly briefed, debriefed and linked exercises, both indoor and outdoor, will enhance your skills and build a firm platform for your continued development. You will be encouraged to experiment with different styles and approaches and you will be expected to lead a least one of the course exercises. You will receive personal feedback via a tutorial and leave the course with a focused Continued Development Plan. (CDP)
During this course we will examine and explore in detail your personal style and approach and the impacts both positive and negative related to your style and approach. In addition, we address in greater depth and detail:
· Different Management and Leadership styles · The differences and links between Management and Leadership · The recognition that each individual team member is key to success · How to motivate others · The importance of effective communication · The importance of effective delegation · The importance of a team identity · How to motivate others · The importance of excellent customer service · Dealing with conflict
